New to cycling?
Newham council provides FREE cycle skills training for adults, children and groups.
Check that your bike is roadworthy at a Newham Cyclists’ Fix Your Ride session. These take place monthly, normally at Woodgrange Market.
The Greenway is a 7km traffic free walking and cycling route which runs through Newham from Hackney Wick to Beckton. Bikes can be hired from View Tube bikes, on the Greenway (nearest stations Pudding Mill Lane DLR, Stratford Tube; bus stop Abbey Lane, routes 25/425).
LCC runs a Cycle buddies scheme which pairs new riders with experienced riders for help and support. Buddies meet with you in your area and you both ride together.
